The Total Water Filtration System (TWFS) scale prevention water system combines the long lasting and reliable filtration of salt-free water conditioning with KDF-55 water filtration. There is no electricity needed, no backwashing or water waste. The patented scale prevention media removes up to 20 grains of hardness with no chemicals or salt. The catalytic surface
of the scale prevention media pulls the calcium and magnesium ions from the water and coverts these ions into harmless nano crystal particles. These nano crystals are so small that they are approximately one billionth of a meter; 100,000 times smaller than a single strand of hair.
In the second phase of the filtration process, the
existing scale in the piping and hardware is
removed. The nano crystal particles are neutral
and are unable to attach to any surfaces, but
due to their large surface area and nano
structure, bind to the calcium ions in the scale,
gradually breaking the grid structure of the
calcium deposits. Over time, the calcium scale
deposits within the pipes and equipment are
completely removed. This results in highly effective scale prevention and removal with minimal maintenance.
The system also utilizes pre & post filters for maximum water filtration. The 20" Big Blue prefilter is a radial flow GAC filter that removes sediment, large particulates, chlorine, chloramines, and other chemicals, tastes, and odors. The post filter features GAC, combines with KDF-55 media. The KDF is an NSF Certified media that substantially reduces chlorine, heavy metals and also inhibits the growth of bacteria.

Great Quality Water
I have to say that I was skeptical about a whole water filtration & softening system for the price found here. After a lot of research online, most products were either poorly made, didn't function at all or were a scam. (including the one on Dr. Mercola's site which was disappointing). After calling and talking with Puriteam staff, I thought I would give it a try and I'm glad I did.
I installed the system myself and have been using it ever since. The instructions are a little confusing, but after rereading them, I realized that they are just written in an overly detailed fashion. Personally, I'd rather have overly detailed than no instructions or instructions that have been poorly converted from another language.
The water in our city is horribly over chlorinated and after getting out of the shower, I use to smell the chlorine on my skin. But now it's chlorine free. After the installation, the water quality is excellent and chlorine free. I was raised in Lake...
